Victory Through the Blood: Heaven’s Restraining Order
Foundational Scriptures:
Colossians 1:20 (AMPC)
“And God purposed that through (by the service, the intervention of) Him [the Son] all things should be completely reconciled back to Himself, whether on earth or in heaven, as through Him, [the Father] made peace by means of the blood of His cross.”
1 Corinthians 1:18 (KJV)
“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.”
A. THE CROSS
1. His Substitutionary Work at the Cross
2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV)
“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
Isaiah 53:4–6 (KJV)
“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.”
John 3:14–15 (KJV)
“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.”
Philippians 2:5–8 (NKJV)
“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,
but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant,
and coming in the likeness of men.
And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”
Hebrews 2:9 (KJV)
“But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.”

2. Propitiation and Reconciliation
Romans 3:24–25 (KJV)
“Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood,
to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.”
1 John 2:1–2 (NKJV)
“My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin.
And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.”
Romans 5:1 (KJV)
“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Colossians 1:20–22 (NKJV)
“And by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven,
having made peace through the blood of His cross.
And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled
in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight.”

B. THE BLOOD
1. The Blood Redeems Us from Sin
Matthew 26:28 (NKJV)
“For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”
Ephesians 1:7 (NKJV)
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.”
Colossians 1:13–14 (NKJV)
“He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,
in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.”
Galatians 3:13–14 (NKJV)
“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us
(for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree’),
that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus,
that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

2. The Shedding of Blood
Hebrews 9:22 (KJV)
“And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.”
1 Peter 1:18–19 (NKJV)
“Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers,
but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”
John 1:29 (NKJV)
“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said,
‘Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!’”
Hebrews 10:18 (KJV)
“Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.”

3. Cleansed and Justified
1 John 1:7 (NKJV)
“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”
Revelation 1:5 (KJV)
“Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood.”
Romans 5:9 (KJV)
“Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.”
Isaiah 43:25 (KJV)
“I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.”
4. Reconciled to the Father
Ephesians 2:13 (NKJV)
“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.”
Romans 5:10 (KJV)
“For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son,
much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.”

5. Boldness in His Presence
Hebrews 10:19–22 (KJV)
“Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
and having an high priest over the house of God;
Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith,
having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.”
Hebrews 4:16 (KJV)
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace,
that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
6. The Power to Overcome
Revelation 12:11 (KJV)
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony;
and they loved not their lives unto the death.”
Revelation 5:10 (NKJV)
“And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.”

C. THE BLOOD AS A RESTRAINING ORDER
1. The Blood Sets Boundaries
Exodus 12:13 (KJV)
“And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are:
and when I see the blood, I will pass over you,
and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.”
The blood marked territory that the destroyer could not trespass.
2. The Enemy Is Rebuked by Legal Blood Authority
Zechariah 3:1–2 (NKJV)
“Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord,
and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him.
And the Lord said to Satan, ‘The Lord rebuke you, Satan!
The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?’”
The Lord issues a legal rebuke—Satan cannot accuse you where the blood speaks.

3. The Blood Speaks Better Things
Hebrews 12:24 (KJV)
“And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant,
and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.”
Abel’s blood cried for vengeance. Jesus’ blood cries for mercy and justice.
