Faith to Stand in Wicked Times
* Abraham → Joseph → Moses → Law → Tabernacle → Temple → Jesus.
* 1. Faith Recognizes the Hour
📖 2 Timothy 3:1–5
“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!”
Point: Faith is not blind to the hour we live in—it discerns it and prepares.
2. Faith Anchors Itself in God’s Word
📖 Romans 10:17
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
📖 Matthew 4:4
“But He answered and said, ‘It is written, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”’”
Point: In wicked times, every other foundation shakes—God’s Word remains unshakable.
3. Faith Refuses to Compromise
📖 Daniel 3:16–18
“Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, ‘O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.’”
Point: True faith draws a line—no bowing, no compromise, no retreat.
4. Faith Speaks Boldly in the Face of Opposition
📖 2 Corinthians 4:13
“And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, ‘I believed and therefore I spoke,’ we also believe and therefore speak.”
📖 Acts 4:20
“For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.”
Point: Wicked times demand bold faith-filled voices, not silent spectators.
5. Faith Fixes Its Eyes on the Eternal, Not the Temporal
📖 2 Corinthians 4:17–18
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
📖 Hebrews 11:27
“By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible.”
Point: Faith stands strong because it sees what others cannot see—eternity.
6. Faith Stands on God’s Promises of Protection
📖 Psalm 91:7–10
“A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling.”
📖 Isaiah 54:17
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the LORD.
Point: Wicked times don’t cancel covenant promises.
7. Faith Triumphs Over the World
📖 1 John 5:4
“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.”
📖 Romans 8:37
“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
Point: Faith isn’t survival—it’s victory, even in the darkest times.
8. Faith Leaves a Legacy
📖 Hebrews 11:4
“By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks.”
📖 Hebrews 12:1–2
“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…”
Point: When you stand in faith now, your life speaks even after you’re gone.
